We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced New Business Analysis Manager to join our quotes team. This role involves directing and overseeing the quotes team and all activities related to the costing process for new business opportunities.

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced New Business Analysis Manager to join our quotes team. This role involves directing and overseeing the quotes team and all activities related to the costing process for new business opportunities.
Responsibilities:
- Manage and develop cost models for new product quotation requests. Activities and processes include:
- Analysis of customer inputs to gain a thorough understanding of the project
- Review of customer data for adequacy of information, initial feasibility and supplier selection
- Preparation of cost models and detailed project assumptions for Sales Team or other stakeholders as needed
- Collaboration with Engineering Team (Tooling, Development and Manufacturing engineers) to ensure best practices
- Communication with suppliers related to necessary costing inputs, including but not limited to resins, paints, purchased parts and tooling. Review of supplier quotations for reasonableness and completeness.
- Maintenance of records of materials gathered during cost analysis process
- Support preparation of customer required documents as appropriate
- Manage and prepare financial summary of high probability projects for review with Executive Leadership team.
- Engage and work with leadership in supporting cost analysis for new products
- Facilitate transfer of project from Quote Team to Project team upon project launch
- Continuously improve RFQ process and Quote Team departmental procedures
- Support of corporate capacity planning activities for in-house manufacturing
- Manage and develop two quote team members
- Build and develop supplier relationships to foster efficiency and accuracy in how our suppliers quote opportunities
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field.
- 5+ years of experience in business analysis in cost development, quoting or procurement
- Previous management experience a plus
Required Skills:
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Outlook
- Proven proficiency in cost modeling, budgeting and forecasting.
- Experience in Quick Base and IQMS 5 or similar financial/ERP systems.
- Ability to read and understand customer drawings, product designs and engineering concepts and performance requirements
- Experience in a manufacturing or supply chain environment preferred
- Working experience or knowledge of automated industrial systems
- Ability to work independently and manage a team of two
- High level research, analysis and problem-solving skills
- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
